Thinking about living the “alpaca lifestyle”? We will be offering a 1 day
course “Alpacas 101 - Starting Your Journey” here on the farm on
Saturday 8/20/22 from 8 AM to 5 PM.
This one day class will touch on the basics of feeding, care, and shelter
for the brand new alpaca owner.
The morning session will be lecture style and the afternoon session will
be hands on with the animals.
Topics will include:
- Is the Alpaca lifestyle for you (researching your purchase)
- Setting up your pastures and shelters
- Equipment
- Feed and Hay
- Husbandry (caring for your herd)
And much more
Cost is $100 per "farm" (up to 2 people). Additional participants from
the same farm are $50 each. Costs includes class, materials, a light
breakfast and lunch.
